Sept 7th. 2019 ~ 2nd Annual Copper Pound at the Adventure Copper Mine in Greenland Michigan. This event, hosted by Robin Hammer Mueller, Paul Schanen and Larry Furo taught the public about copper and it's connection to prehistory as the first metalworking by people in North America. We also had demonstrations on taking float copper from start to finish as a replica tool. Ancient artifacts were on hand for display and educational purposes, along with questions being answered by experts in the field.
August 2019 Robin Hammer Mueller gave a lecture to a crowd of 48 at Historical Fort Wilkins in Copper Harbor on prehistory working it's way up to history of ancient people here in the Lake Superior Region. The one hour powerpoint lecture went well, with the crowd staying for 45 mins afterwards to learn more about the ancients ways.
July 2019 Robin Hammer Mueller gave a lecture to the Keweenaw County Historical Society for their "Adventure Series". The lecture discussed the Old Copper Complex era with a focus on the Delaware Mine.
